3CDO Stands for 3 Commando Brigade
The clan was originally a Medal of Honour Spearhead clan, moved on to the WW2 flight-simulator IL2-Sturmovik, then moved back to First Person shooters with Battle Field 2, after the clan had some success it was decided that the clan would become multi-gaming, playing both battlefield 2 and counterstrike source. Later call of Duty 2 was added and Battle Field 2 was dropped due to it becoming unpopular and inactive, during this time 2 members of the clan, AccursedAce (shortened to [3CDO]Ace in TMN) and Phaser (shortened to [3CDO]Pash in TMN) stumbled upon TrackMania Nations, as a bit of fun a server was created to try and get the best tracks with-in a UK server, this server became very popular particularly in the UK but did attract other players from around the world, after a few days of the server being up a track mania section was created on the 3CDO Forums and AccursedAce became the leader of the TrackMania Nations section, people could apply to be members but unusually for clans the entry process was community based, so if you were a friendly rather than skilled you could become a member, it still turned out that 3CDO picked up some very skilled players, there first clan match was against [WMI], it was a close match but 3CDO won over all,
After this match the 4 members of WMI joined with 3CD0, during this time 3CDO had over 200 people apply to join in 3 weeks.
Unfortunately there were problems with the administration of the server, which made matches difficult and just a few days to late AccursedAce was allowed full access to the dedicated server to help set up matches, but there had already been splits over the issue and the main active base of the clan had left. Others stayed in the clan and played First Person Shooters, and the clan still exists today but not actively playing TrackMania
