Coppers in TrackMania United
The use of Coppers in TrackMania United is more important than in earlier games; they will act as an-in game currency to reward players as they progress through the game. Coppers lets players buy custom data from within the game for varying amounts of coppers, although it is still possible to download them from websites. [1] You can use your coppers to buy new Skins, Car models, Tracks, replays, avatars, and many other items to customise your game.
Also using the in-game message system (in the drop-down menu in the top right corner of the screen), you can donate coppers to friends, clanmates, drivers you like, just about anyone you think deserves them, or to give as a present.
Earning coppers
Every day that you go online with TMU, you will earn 50 free coppers. If you also own TMO or TMS you can use the TrackMania registration bonus page to enter your login information and earn 10 extra coppers. If you own both games, you will earn 30 extra coppers. This makes for a total of 80 free, daily coppers.
Earning medals also earns you coppers. Bronze is worth 5 coppers, Silver is worth 10 coppers, Gold is worth 15 coppers. Since earning a higher ranking proves you qualified for the lower ranking(s) as well, these amounts are added, so earning Gold actually gives you 5 + 10 + 15 = 30 coppers.
To enter in official races you don't need to pay coppers, but having to restart costs you 10 coppers. This means you need to race fast and consistently to earn coppers instead of losing them. Practising races (that is, racing while not in official mode) won't cost anything.

You can earn coppers also by winning competitions which offer coppers as a prize. Or simply if people donate coppers to you.
Coppers in TMO, TMS, and TMN
- You win coppers by winning races
- Tracks in TMO and TMS cost coppers
- TMN tracks have no copper limit
- In TMO and TMS coppers function as cash to buy more building blocks
- The buy mode is removed with TMO's first update (TM powerUP!)
The amount of coppers you have, limits the number of blocks you can use in the Track Editor. Earning medals and cups in the single player game will reward you with additional coppers.
