Editing an article

Method
To edit an existing article, you just have to click on the Edit tab. The article is set to edit mode and you can change its content. If the tab doesn't show, the article is protected and only admins can edit it.
To check your work prgress, use the Show preview button. Click on the Save button, only if you've finished editing the document.
An easy way to edit document is to work with an external text editor, especially one with a spelling checker. Simply copy/paste from the text editor to the edit page. Please, always use the last article content before editing it, and do not wait too long before uploading your new text, because that will undo changes others may have made since you made the copy.
Also, take time to add the extent of your modifications in the Summary field, so anyone can understand what has been modified.

For example, modifications can be:
- Details, content corrections
- Spelling, style corrections
- Additional paragraphs
- Pictures insertions
- Completing TM Wiki formalism, categorization, redirections...
Tip
When you insert a link, test it! But be sure not to click the link from the editor page, or you will lose everything you've typed in. Instead, open the link in another navigator window using (Shift + Click). This works in Internet Explorer and Firefox. In Firefox you can also open the link in a new tab using (Tab + Click).
