Medal

Single player gaming achievements in the TrackMania series of games are called medals.
Every track has four such achievements: Author Medal, Gold Medal, Silver Medal and Bronze Medal.

The author medal is automatically set by the track builder, when he or she validates the track. At the same point the gold, silver and bronze medal scores are set automatically by the game, however those three can also be set manually.

For which achievements medals actually are given depends on the mode of the track. In normal race tracks and puzzle tracks the aim is to get the fastest time. In platform tracks the aim is to drive with as few respawns as possible. Finally in stunt tracks the points of the stunts count towards the total score.
