Overview

The first mods for TrackMania 1.0 were Zip or Rar packages which must be installed manually. The task was somewhat complexe. Several players had to reinstall TM after using such a mod.

The idea was to create an generic automatic setup exe file which would create Nadeo environment backup in the same time. A set of NSIS scripts was used to create the setup exe fils which would contain the mod.

The player just had to start the program to install the mod. By restarting the program, he could uninstall the mod an revert to the default Nadeo environment.

Mod'O'Matic 2.0 was included in TrackMania Manager. A wizard was designed to create the scripts automatically.

The system was comptabile until Power-Up. Those tools are now obsolete since there are websites as TM-Mod using TMUP.
