From TM Wiki
A collection of possible future additions to TrackMania United & beyond!
Contents |
Gameplay
- Analogue Accelerator
- Ability to vote using a gamepad
- Force feedback support
- That you can drive as fast with keyboard as you can with gamepad (like in TMN)
- Cars DON'T ever collide as it will slow down the racing pace and probably spoil the game.
Cars
- Custom parts (Wheels, wings, lights etc) (Tuning)
- Animated cars (moving text, images, blinking stars)
- Put the car damage back in!
- Whatever you do don't put the car damage in-that spoils the Stunt mode!
Blocks
- Speed trap (Shows fastest mph on a billboard)
- Scoreboard billboard
- Grandstands with spectators
- Adjustable heights/widths for finishes & checkpoints
- Diagonal road pieces
- Checkpoints change when crossed (Eg change colour)
- NO Animated blocks (eg moving doors). That would surely ruin TM and all the TM serie stands for!"Why no?The windmills in rally are complementing the tracks(they are animated)."-asked by nickguletskii
- Increments in the placing of blocks, either half blocks, thirds or a combination of the two
- No connectors

- easy hosting (without changing router ports etc.)
- A plain practice mode.
- IP ban

- Adding custom music into TMU.
- better A.I.
- A main massively multiplayer international server hosting constant random official and custom tracks for each environment for huge gameplay challenges (if possible).
- Some flickering streetlamps,tunnel lights.
Map Editor
- Selection of multiple blocks which can be dragged
- The ability to select multiple blocks and save them to a folder which can be accessed in the track editor block folders
- Being able to fully tunnel overground and tunnel tracks and blocks underground from any position and direction in all environments with tunnel lights with there own style inside of each environment. Along with cars echoing inside. And if possible having underwater tunnels as a nice and realistic addition.
- Text in subbar that explains what the selected block is and, if necessary, how to use it.
- Ability to mix up to five blocks in the same place (X,Y,Z)-that makes everything more interesting.

- Debris
- add all the previous main menu title musics from previous trackmania games into United.
- Online streamed radio as an option in the game.
- As there is already a clock in the main menu also add a full date on too.
- enable spectators to also hear the opponent's car crashes/collision on track sound effects, rear mirror view for the spectators watching a certain car.
- Easier to earn coppers or setting official times costs no/less coppers. The point of the game is in a way time trialling against other peoples official times and not being able to do that freely kinda kills the game. You always end up leaving the game dissatisfied and/or fairly annoyed and that really hurts the game.
